Our Culture

J.U.I.C.E.D. is our brand.

It’s our culture here at the B-Ball games. This summer the number one goal is to create a culture of accountability and the most winning environment your athlete can experience.

We started introducing our leadership camps to younger populations throughout the year to help prepare them for our ultimate challenge with this group. We want to create an inviting and challenging gym for everyone.

No matter the skill level, we want athletes to feel valued and worked. Below is what J.U.I.C.E.D. means and what we are looking for our athletes to bring each workout.

Skills Training

We will start just about every practice with our “Daily Vitamins”. This is a warm up that gets athletes ready to start their day. It includes over 500 Dribbles and 100 Shots before the training ever begins. Routine is essential for athletes to go from “good” to “great” and our routine is primed for the process. Throughout the summer we will incorporate the Dr. Dish machine for workouts. The use of our Dr. Dish Machine will make getting shots up easy and save fatigue of athletes legs due to the efficiency of the machine.

Our focus is to create a progressive model that starts the early summer with foundational skills that will build into more advanced techniques as the summer progresses.  Essentially this model will allow for athletes who are at a lower beginning level to build up to higher level skill as we get closer to the season. We want to create basketball players who have the skill to score off the ball, handle the ball against pressure, and to play against more athletic players they may come across.

Speed and Agility

Landow Performance will be powering the speed and agility training sessions. B-Ball Games has a close working relationship with this highly respected gym. Landow Performance is known for their efficient and detailed focused approach to training sprint mechanics, change of direction mechanics, and creating healthy athletes. Landow has a history of working with athletes at the highest level including the WNBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, and multiple olympians. We are working with Landow to create another 8 week plan to properly progress from foundational mechanics early on to using movement into more basketball specific situations.

Landow also has a fully equipped weight room at their facility and we highly recommend talking to some of their coaches to see how weight training would complement everything else the athlete is doing this summer.

Classroom Academy Basketball Education with Dylan Birdsell

Education

At B-Ball we take pride in educating our athletes. We wanted to build in a weekly reminder of a class of how athletes can maximize their potential with their off the court choices. We want athletes to have all the resources to make great choices if they take their game seriously. We will have leadership based discussions on how to create a proper winning culture in their gyms back home. We will bring in Strength and Conditioning professionals to teach athletes the importance of taking care of their training and rest. We will partner up with nutrition experts to give athletes a look into how their eating habits can maximize or cause harm to their game. By the end of the summer our goal is to equip athletes with all of the information they will need to make great choices when they get back to school.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The package deals are a week’s worth of training (Same thing with month). They are bulk sessions given at prorated prices to reward you for your big investment. Once you purchase your number of sessions you can reserve your slots on the days you choose throughout the summer.

No (for the most part). We want to respect the environment for both populations. We want to create a competitive environment in both groups. Our goal is to have talent to the highest level in both age groups to have like minded athletes pushing each other to their heights. There is the slight option we may give to specific athletes if we do see they are not gaining the most out of their group if they show they are able to handle great responsibility and integrity.

Our camps are a great introduction to the style of training we offer at the B-Ball Games. The Summer Academy is the peak of group training we offer. The academy is the most thought out and comprehensive basketball training experience we throw throughout the year. Our Camps have specific themes that we will tackle in depth in a short amount of time. Whereas our academy will cover everything in a more expanded way.

Yes. We encourage our athletes who are in the academy to enroll into the camps as we see it as a leadership opportunity for them. During our camps we may have a bunch of athletes who have not attended training at B-Ball. We empower and set expectations for our athletes in Total Package to lead the gym they are in at all times. Using the opportunity of new athletes unaware of the expectations can lead to great skills of intangibles for our TP Athletes.

Yes. Each day is themed on our schedule as far as which skills we will tackle. We wanted to offer an extreme flexible option in case there are certain things you and your athlete are confident on your own. Obviously, we are confident that every day you come in it will benefit you. We also will respect the choice of when you would like to come in vs doing some of this on your own.
